Happy Birthday Ashley!!!

TaGgEd!
1. I love food. Actually it is the center my world revolves around. I'm sure I will eventually be obese, which will drive Sam to leave me, but I can't help it. I love every kind and have cravings even when I'm not pregnant. My favorite thing to do is to go out to eat and I get really depressed when nobody is hungry, because I feel like I'm always starving.
2. While still on the subject of food, If you've ever eaten with me you may have noticed I can never finish the last bite. Not just of my meal, I don't finish anything I eat/drink. Sam is very annoyed at finding cups around with one swallow left in the bottom. Others have found half eaten chips or cookies put back in the bag. I don't know why. It may be my subconscious thinking it will keep me from getting fat. I always envy the skinny girls who were full after 2 bites of their meal, and maybe I'm trying to be like them. TO MY DEFENSE, I don't even realize I do it, until someone comments on it. I'm not a pervert who likes to spread germs, I just have a mental problem.
3. LAST food comment I swear! But I feel the exact same way as Erica about milk sharing. It is a complete "no, no"! You CANNOT see through it, therefore, WHY would I risk drinking someone else's floaties?! Also, milk must only be drunk extremely chilled. The heat from a stranger's hand on the cup alone will raise the temperature just enough to contaminate it.
4. I am smart. I know many of you may disagree with this. HOWEVER, I know that I am. I will admit that I don't always act like it. It is so much easier to play the dumb card and not have to explain things, so I often take that route. I guess I am also a hypocrite, because I hate stupid people... Ok, hate is a strong word. I am annoyed easily at people who simply do not understand things. I get frustrated when common sense is not applied. I will have no friends after this post is read. (NOT implying my friends are stupid, only that I am a snot.)
5. I have road rage. Utah drivers are the WORST! Rude, people trying to get a few seconds ahead. Nobody lets anyone over, yet they do not hesitate to cut you off. Stop signs are there for a reason. STOP if you see one, it's easy. And they all drive stupid yuppie cars covered in liberal, pica, vegan, "protect wild Utah" stickers. This only adds to the rage. Don't think that its just cars here. BIKERS are even worse. They wouldn't bug me so bad, except for their double standard thinking. They act as cars when they want to ride right in front of your car at 15mph, then when they feel like being a pedestrian they go on ignoring all traffic laws, because as we all know, pedestrians do have the right of way.
6. I cry while watching TV. I am obsessed with Grey's Anatomy. I cry in every episode, and like it. I also think that I am part of the show. I know its all pretend, but they would all be my best friends I just know it!
7. I am shy. Well, I don't know if its shy as much as lazy. I just think it takes A LOT of energy to have a conversation with someone I don't know. I don't like being fake because I know I don't do it well. Why do I feel like I have to be fake? I don't know. I just get uncomfortable and this fake, exhausting person comes out. I realize this is something I need to work on if I ever hope to make friends.
Ok, now that I have revealed my horrible traits its your turn! Posey, Ashley, Buff, and Jessica you are TAGGED!

What the?!
Ok, don't get me wrong. I am borderline OBSESSED with this show, and I actually love the choreography and performance of this dance... BUT what the crap??! Weird, awkward kiss?? Am I stupid, or did that make anyone else queasy?

Thanks.
WARNING: extreme cheese ahead
SAM-

I am so lucky to have such a sweet guy, even though you love to tease me a lot of the time. I can't believe how much you do, and still have the energy to put up with me. I'm so excited for our future and am glad we get to master each milestone together. I admire your strength, ambition, and hard work. And, I love how excited you are about life all the time! I hate to admit it, but you are pretty funny and I love how you always want to make me smile. You are the BEST and I LOVE YOU!

Finally Home

worry about. HOWEVER, now it is a thousand times worse. I swear my child is yellow, I'm worried his belly button is infected, and his poor little wiener has been mutilated! I started bawling when I saw it right after the circumcision, I couldn't help it, it looks so bad. Besides all the drama I've conjured in my head everything is going well. Thank you everyone for your comments and support!

BABY!

Sam and I arrived at University of Utah Hospital around 8am on Friday the 20th. I had been having semi regular contractions and cramping so they put me into the delivery room and started the Pitocin IV. I was dilated 2cm. This is a "learning hospital" so many residents and med students had the pleasure of "helping out". Anyway, an hour after the IV was started the Dr decided to break my water to speed things up, so in went the hook. Sam swears there was over 3 gallons of water, he didn't like this part. Immediately after that, the contractions
became HORRIBLY painful. They let and encourage you to get the epidural as soon as you feel any discomfort at this hospital, this is a good thing. So after the 1st REAL contraction, I of course requested the lovely epidural. This was not a good experience, however. The needle went in fine, but as he was threading the catheter up my spine it brushed many nerves along the way, causing "zingers" (like hitting your funny bone) up my entire leg. These "zingers" lasted a long time and felt like I was being electrocuted. I was crying and shaking. After all that drama, the epidural kicked in and I felt great! I quickly went from 2cm to 5cm then stopped
progressing. After 4 hours at 5cm the Dr announced I would have to get a C- section. Within 2 min I was in the O.R on the operating table. I was freaking out because the epidural was weak on my right side and I was very afraid I would feel the surgery. Nobody else seemed worried about this, which made me even more afraid. The surgery went well, and although
I didn't feel any pain, I could feel major tugging, pushing, pulling and stretching. Sam watched the whole thing. I lost a lot of blood so they gave me some crazy medicine that put me out of it as soon as the baby was delivered. A couple hours later I was finally holding my baby! I remember during the surgery hearing the nurses and doctors saying "he's huge!" as the baby was being pulled out. He seems so tiny to me, but next to the other newborns in the nursery he is pretty big! This earned him the nickname "The Hulk" from Sam's parents. Landon weighed 9lb 8oz, and was 21.5 inches at birth. We are so excited to finally have him here! Now I just need to heal so I can really enjoy him.
