Today we woke not to Landon screaming, but to band music trumpeting through the streets. Lucky for us it was the annual Avenues Street Fair, right in our front yard! We decided to take advantage of our prime location and ventured out to the street. There was good food, fun shops and hundreds of the strangest people I've ever seen(Buff fitting in with, and spotting the best of them). There was even a "comedian" dressed as a cowboy. I don't know if his outfit was part of the show, we didn't stand there long enough to find out. He wasn't funny, and we were sick of him trying to impress the crowd by cracking his Indiana Jones whip. The fair wasn't all bad, Landon did get his face painted, by MIDGETS! Yes, there was a tent set up called "Little People" face painting, 2 dollars later we had some great pics and a crooked U on Landon's face. The fair seemed to be a huge success, as there were thousands of cars parked all over our neighborhood ALL day long. The parking lot of our complex seemed to be the favorite spot to illegally park for the event. Later in the day as I was leaving to run errands, I smashed into one of the idiots who decided to park behind my car. NOT on purpose. I wish I was brave enough to let the poor bastard suffer in wonder at who would smash his precious automobile and just leave, but my conscience ,or maybe it was my husband, wouldn't let me. Now I sit and wait for a phone call that I assume will be far from friendly (i left a note for the lucky fool). Thanks Salt Lake for a wonderful day!

hahahaha. Landon looks like a ute! I am sorry to see the smashed car. You are very honest and this way your conscience wont plague you forever. I have had so many of those horifying smash sounds I can't even count. From mailboxes, to cars in our own driveway to total strangers to police cars. ANYWAY I WISH I had been there to see the avenue festival. Thanks for taking care of your little sis. What or why is that woman molesting that man? GROSS
I'm very sad to have missed this adventure!!! I'm laughing so hard I'm crying! Mom has had to leave lots of notes on people's cars. She just says a little prayer that they blow away. I like the butterfly socks on the wrinkly bum grabber!
That stinks about your car. I fender bended someone last fall and I have never felt so stupid in my life. I would have much rather left a note.
THe note probably blew off and some random person is going to come across your blog only tho finally figured out who hit his car! Why was I not there? That picture of the 2 old people is classic!
I love days like those! (minus the car thing) but Nate is going to be so jealous of the face paint thing by little people.
WHY did you put your child through that?! and WHAT is buff wearing!? glad it wasn't last weekend!
um, I don't appreciate you calling those halflings "midgets", that is politically incorrect and insensitive to their little feelings. And speaking of incorrect, why is your hand half way up sam's crack in that other picture? I see you inherited mother's ability to find large, unmoving, highly visible objects with the your car, a true talent, that. Don't worry though, I think Kambria still has you beat.
Little people face painting? Ha ha, that's amazing! Sorry bout your little wreck, no fun. Points for you for telling truth! It will come back to you...it better!
